Summary

Vacuum-assisted excision (VAE) shows high diagnostic discrepancies with prior biopsies for breast lesions. Avoiding fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNA) for BI-RADS 3 and 4a lesions is recommended, with VAE as a potential surgical alternative.
