Multiple sclerosis (MS) patients show distinct mitochondrial dysfunction across subtypes. Progressive MS (PMS) exhibits reduced cellular respiration, unlike relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS), suggesting a disease continuum and potential therapeutic targets.
