Abstract:
This study aims to isolate and purify alkaloids from the bulbs of Corydalis decumbens, a traditional Chinese medicine widely used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, using various modern chromatographic separation techniques. The planar structures and absolute configurations of the compounds were elucidated by UV, IR, MS, NMR, and X-ray single-crystal diffraction. A total of five phthalideisoquinoline alkaloids were isolated and identified as corydecumbensine(1), corydecumine C(2),(+)-corlumine(3), corydecusine B(4), and corydecusine A(5), among which compound 1 is a new compound. The anti-inflammatory activities of the isolated compounds were evaluated by a lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced inflammation model in mouse macrophage RAW264.7 cells. The results demonstrate that compound 1 exhibits a significant inhibitory effect on nitric oxide(NO) release, indicating its promising anti-inflammatory activity.
