[Teleconsultations by an IPA with dependent elderly people in Spasad]
Abstract:
The integration of teleconsultations by advanced practice nurses (APNs) within multi-purpose home care and assistance service located in Normandy significantly enhances care for dependent elderly people at home. This system, closely linked with general practitioners and hospital specialists, enables rapid access to medical expertise while strengthening care coordination and continuity. It highlights the strategic role of APNs and reassures patients, families, and care teams. Despite some organizational challenges, this innovation shows telemedicine's complementary potential for home care. Institutional recognition and stronger support are needed to sustain this practice.
