Abstract:
A sulfonate ester is introduced into an aqueous electrolyte to partially pull H2O out of the Li+ inner solvating shell and allow more anions to participate in it. With reduced desolvation barriers and the presence of inorganic-rich SEI/CEI layers that suppress Mn dissolution, the LMO||LTO cell exhibits ultra-high-rate performance and excellent cycling stability.
