Prognostic Ability of Automated RPE Sinuosity for Late AMD Supersedes Qualitative Outer Retinal Band Assessment

Quantifying retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) sinuosity using optical coherence tomography (OCT) offers a reliable method for predicting age-related macular degeneration (AMD) progression. This quantitative approach surpasses subjective assessments, improving diagnostic accuracy for late AMD.
