Abstract:
Oncologic urology continues to evolve, driven by innovations that share a common goal: improving clinical outcomes while reducing the risks and burden for patients. In 2025, several randomized studies supported emerging practices by providing the level of evidence that was still lacking, namely regarding transperineal prostate biopsy under local anesthesia, streamlined bladder cancer surveillance using urinary biomarkers, and nerve-sparing robot-assisted prostatectomy guided by intraoperative frozen section analysis. These advances confirm a strong trend in urology toward greater precision and pragmatism, as well as a sustained focus on patient experience and quality of life.
