Summary

Managing thoracic aortic pathologies with branched endoprosthesis is growing, but complications like type IA endoleaks are under-documented. This study shows successful coil embolization effectively treats these endoleaks, particularly those caused by large left subclavian artery infundibula.

Myocardial Infarction by Percutaneous Embolization Coil Deployment in a Swine Model

Myocardial infarction (MI) animal models that emulate the natural process of the disease in humans are crucial to understanding pathophysiological mechanisms and testing the safety and efficacy of new emergent therapies. Here, we describe an MI swine model created by deploying a percutaneous embolization...

Types of Long-term Debt: Private Placements

Private placements offer a strategic alternative to public offerings for businesses seeking long-term financing. This method allows companies to raise capital by selling securities directly to select investors, bypassing the extensive regulatory requirements of public markets. While this approach streamlines the fundraising process, it often comes at the cost of higher interest rates due to the limited marketability and liquidity of privately placed securities.Key Benefits of Private...

Dissection and Grading of Ovarian Development in Wild-Type Female Insects

The protocol demonstrates a simple and easy dissection method, suitable for wild-type migratory female insects captured with searchlight traps. This technique can significantly clarify the same species by comparing both reproductive tissues, namely the mating sac and ovarian development of wild-type female...

Time-Resolved, Dynamic Computed Tomography Angiography for Characterization of Aortic Endoleaks and Treatment Guidance via 2D-3D Fusion-Imaging

Dynamic computed tomography angiography (CTA) imaging provides additional diagnostic value in characterizing aortic endoleaks. This protocol describes a qualitative and quantitative approach using time-attenuation curve analysis to characterize endoleaks. The technique of integrating dynamic CTA imaging with fluoroscopy using 2D-3D image fusion is illustrated for better image guidance during...

Types of RNA01:23

Types of RNA

Overview
Three main types of RNA are involved in protein synthesis: messenger RNA (mRNA), transfer RNA (tRNA), and ribosomal RNA (rRNA). These RNAs perform diverse functions and can be broadly classified as protein-coding or non-coding RNA. Non-coding RNAs play important roles in the regulation of gene expression in response to developmental and environmental changes. Non-coding RNAs in prokaryotes can be manipulated to develop more effective antibacterial drugs for human or animal use.
