This study developed and psychometrically tested new bolt-on items to improve the EuroQol five dimensions questionnaire (EQ-5D) for measuring health-related quality of life in Chinese patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The new items enhance EQ-5D sensitivity for COPD assessment.
