Abstract:
The integration of robotic surgical technology with 5G high-speed communication, has enabled remote surgery to transcend geographical barriers, establishing it as an innovative frontier in surgical practice. Within the strategic context of China's ongoing efforts to advance tiered healthcare and optimize the allocation of medical resources, the implementation of high-quality remote robotic gastrointestinal surgery holds considerable value for expanding access to advanced technologies and enhancing the capabilities of primary care institutions. Based on a series of successful domestic cases performed at the Medical Division of General Surgery, PLA General Hospital, this paper systematically elucidates the core elements, clinical pathways, and management protocols to establish this technological system. It also summarizes key insights gained during the early exploratory phase, proposing a structured framework and safety model as a referential "Chinese approach" for surgical teams across the country.
