Effect of Ketamine Supplementation in Axillary Plexus Blockade: A Comparative Study

Adding ketamine, either intravenously or regionally, to ropivacaine for axillary brachial plexus blocks enhances postoperative pain relief and speeds up sensory and motor block onset. Both methods of ketamine administration proved equally effective in improving analgesia and reducing rebound pain.
