Perfluorohexyloctane Ophthalmic Solution in Patients with Dry Eye Disease Undergoing Cataract Surgery: A Prospective

Perfluorohexyloctane ophthalmic solution (PFHO) use before cataract surgery did not impact refractive accuracy. This treatment also effectively improved dry eye disease (DED) signs and symptoms in patients.

- Perioperative PFHO use does not negatively affect preoperative biometry, keratometry, or refractive prediction accuracy in cataract surgery patients.
- PFHO treatment led to significant improvements in dry eye disease (DED) signs and symptoms.
- High percentages of patients achieved excellent visual acuity (≥20/20) post-surgery.
