Communication Functions and Communicative Behaviours in Children With Cerebral Palsy

Children with cerebral palsy (CP) primarily use nonverbal communication, with symbolic communication limited in severe motor impairments. Communication complexity decreases as motor impairment increases, highlighting the need for early augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) integration.
