Orf virus infection, a zoonotic disease, can present atypically on the earlobe. This case highlights the importance of considering orf in differential diagnoses for unusual skin lesions in individuals with animal contact.
Area of Science:
- Veterinary Medicine
- Dermatology
- Infectious Diseases
Background:
- Orf virus (parapoxvirus) causes zoonotic infection, typically transmitted from sheep/goats to humans.
