Reduction of Neuro Check Intervals in Traumatic Brain Injury Patients is Associated with Lower Delirium Risk

Prolonged hourly neurologic examinations (Q1 neuro checks) in intensive care unit (ICU) patients with traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) are linked to higher delirium rates and mortality. Shorter Q1 neuro check durations may improve outcomes for TBI patients.
