Summary:
North-east India is a nonendemic region for dengue. In Aizawl, Mizoram, the first and last Dengue outbreak reported was in 2016 with 58 confirmed cases and no deaths. However, in 2022, the dengue outbreak reported 1868 confirmed cases, with five deaths in Aizawl. We conducted an outbreak investigation in Bethlehem Vengthlang and Chite Veng through a house-to-house survey to confirm the transmission of dengue virus infection. The overall attack rate was 11.4% with no gender difference. Currently, Mizoram has only two sentinel sites. Study findings will be useful for the selection of sites related to the upcoming phase 3 dengue vaccine trials.

Radiological Investigation I: X-ray and CT
Radiological Investigation II: MRI and Ventilation Perfusion Scan
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Ventilation Perfusion Scans are two radiological investigations that offer detailed diagnostic images of the body, particularly lung structures.
MRI
MRI uses magnetic fields and radiofrequency signals to distinguish between normal and abnormal tissues. This technology provides a more detailed diagnostic image than CT scans, enabling it to characterize pulmonary nodules, stage bronchogenic carcinoma, and evaluate inflammatory activity in...
Radiological Investigation III: Pulmonary Angiogram and PET Scan
Pulmonary Angiogram
A Pulmonary Angiogram is an invasive procedure involving injecting a contrast medium through a catheter threaded into the pulmonary artery or the right side of the heart to visualize the pulmonary vasculature. Computed Tomography (CT) scans have mainly replaced this...
