- Meta-analysis was performed on highly reported lncRNAs to assess their prognostic values, including sensitivity analysis and publication bias evaluation.
Main Results:
- The review included 56 studies, evaluating 350 unique lncRNAs for their association with overall survival in GC patients.
- Twenty-eight studies were eligible for meta-analysis.
- Four lncRNAs (ADAMTS9-AS2, AL391152.1, CCDC144NL-AS1, and PVT1) were identified as the most frequently reported prognostic biomarkers. Meta-analysis confirmed the prognostic effect of CCDC144NL-AS1 (HR = 1.577, 95% CI: 1.382-1.801).
Conclusions:
- The lncRNA CCDC144NL-AS1, identified through ceRNA network studies, shows promise as a prognostic biomarker for gastric cancer.
- Further research is warranted to fully elucidate the functional roles of CCDC144NL-AS1 in the pathogenesis of GC.
