Purpose of the Study:

  • Findings were consistent across various subgroups.

Conclusions:

  • Higher CLR is significantly and dose-dependently associated with depression.
  • CLR may serve as an inexpensive biomarker for early depression risk detection.
  • Further prospective studies are needed to confirm causality and explore anti-inflammatory treatment strategies.
