J A Fallon, A R Tall, M G Janis

    Acta Haematologica
    |January 1, 1978

    Area of Science:

    • Pharmacology
    • Hematology
    • Clinical Medicine

    Background:

    • Oxacillin is a semi-synthetic penicillin antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections.
    • Drug-induced granulocytopenia is a known, though uncommon, adverse effect of some medications.
    • Understanding the mechanisms of antibiotic-induced hematological side effects is crucial for patient safety.
