Leveraging genome-wide association studies, Mendelian randomization analysis has been applied to explore the potential causal associations between various risk factors and female breast cancer, predict the efficacy and adverse effects of pre-existing and new-onset drugs, and evaluate opportunities of drug repurposing for the therapy of female breast cancer.
