Solitary Zygomatic Bone Metastasis From Hepatocellular Carcinoma Revealed on 18 F-FDG PET/CT

Abstract:
Hepatocellular carcinoma involving the solitary zygomatic bone is quite rare. Here we present FDG PET/CT findings of the right zygomatic bone metastasis from hepatocellular carcinoma in a patient after transarterial chemoembolization 2 years ago. 18 F-FDG PET/CT showed increased 18 F-FDG uptake in the right zygomatic bone with SUVmax of 3.9. Finally, the diagnosis of solitary zygomatic bone metastasis was confirmed by pathologic examination.
