Effect of Prophylactic Antibiotics on K-Wire-Associated Infection: A Retrospective Cohort Study

Prophylactic antibiotics did not significantly reduce Kirschner wire (K-wire) pin site infections in fracture fixation. This study found no evidence to support routine antibiotic use, highlighting the need for further research.
