Intravenous regional anesthesia or the Bier block technique is used to anesthetize a specific limb or extremity. Radiofrequency ablation of the basivertebral nerve (BVN) offers a minimally-invasive treatment for chronic low back pain originating from damaged vertebral endplates. This procedure interrupts pain signals transmitted via the BVN, providing relief for vertebrogenic pain.
