Background:
Pediatric hip disorders differ from those seen in adults.
Objective:
To present the incidence, aetiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of the most common pediatric hip disorders.
Material And Methods:
Review of fundamental studies, research articles, and expert recommendations on the topic.
Results:
The management of the most common pediatric hip disorders is largely consensual. Timely diagnosis and treatment of septic arthritis of the hip and slipped capital femoral epiphysis are of particular urgency.
Conclusions:
Due to the complexity of these conditions, affected patients should be managed in collaboration with specialists in pediatric orthopedics.
