Association between gout and cardiovascular disease: A register-based cohort study

Gout patients face a higher risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) incidence. This study highlights the need for better gout management to reduce CVD burden, especially in women and younger adults.

- Gout is significantly associated with increased incident CVD risk.
- Effective prevention and management strategies are crucial to reduce CVD burden in gout patients.
