Abstract:
An efficient approach to access substituted 3-(benzofuran-2-yl)propanamides 7a-7z and 7aa-7ad was developed through AgOTf-catalyzed 1,4-addition of benzofuran-derived azadienes (BDAs) with ynamides. In this process, water was found to play an essential role in this reaction. A broad range of substituted BDAs and ynamides was applicable for this novel transformation with moderate to good yields.
