Strain elastography (SE) offers superior diagnostic performance for evaluating gross extrathyroidal extension (gETE) in papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) compared to conventional B-mode ultrasound (BMUS) and contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS). Combining modalities further enhances diagnostic accuracy.
