Summary

Supervised exercise during pregnancy, particularly combination training, significantly improved the neonatal traction reflex. Maternal factors like gravida and parity also influenced this reflex in newborns.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the effect of supervised prenatal exercise training on neonatal neurological examination findings.
  • To analyze the impact of aerobic, resistance, and combination exercise versus a control group on neonatal reflexes.

Main Methods:

  • A randomized controlled trial involving 560 pregnant women assigned to aerobic, resistance, combination, or control groups.
  • Exercise was performed 3 times weekly from 16 weeks gestation until delivery.
