Summary

A rare pigmented botryoid odontogenic cyst (BOC), a subtype of lateral periodontal cyst (LPC), was diagnosed in an Afro-Brazilian female. Pigmented BOCs, though rare, may have a racial predisposition and higher recurrence rates than LPCs.
