Proton Pump Inhibitors and Risk of Chronic Kidney Disease: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Long-term use of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) is linked to a higher risk of developing chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Careful consideration and monitoring are advised for patients on PPI therapy.
