Human lung allografts experience persistent fibrogenic shift following acute cellular rejection

Acute cellular rejection (ACR) in lung transplants involves persistent TGF-β and mTOR pathway activation, linking ACR to chronic lung allograft dysfunction (CLAD). Targeting these pathways may prevent CLAD.
