Abstract:
USY zeolites with tailored silica-to-alumina ratios (SAR = 5-120) were prepared via steam-acid leaching. Increasing the SAR concurrently generates hierarchical mesoporosity and shifts the framework from hydrophilic to hydrophobic. This work establishes a dual-control adsorption mechanism, providing a rational design blueprint for FAU-type zeolites in VOC molecular separation and capture.
