Abstract:
The deoximation reaction is a crucial transformation in carbonyl compound synthesis and regeneration. It exhibits great potential for industrial application and is, therefore, a major research focus for industrial organic synthesis. This Synopsis summarizes systematic advances in selenium- and tellurium-catalyzed oxidative deoximation. These protocols feature mild and green conditions, recyclable high-TON catalysts, and substrate compatibility. Beyond technical progress, this work provides profound insights into organic synthesis, with mechanistic diversity further advancing the development of catalytic strategies.
