Abstract:
We present the 5.7-Mb draft genome sequence of Bacillus cereus RAS-11-1 isolated from a tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) aquaponic tank primarily used for educational purposes in a high school in Alberta, Canada. The strain is predicted to carry trpC for the biosynthesis of plant growth hormone indole-3-acetic acid (IAA).
