Liquid volume fraction and droplet sizing in atomizing sprays using polarization ratio with dual structured laser
Abstract:
We present an erratum to our Letter [Opt. Lett.50, 6233 (2025)10.1364/OL.563173]. In our original Letter, we inadvertently performed the calibration while assuming an incorrect polarization of the scattered light. This erratum replaces the incorrect calibration in Fig. 2(c) and Eq. (4) of the original Letter with a corrected one. The corrected calibration leads to updated number density and liquid volume fraction maps, presented herein. Since the original article focuses on the extraction of spray characteristics rather than drawing conclusions about spray morphology based on these measurements, these corrections do not affect the conclusions of the original Letter.
