- Compound 1 showed cytotoxicity against A549 and HeLa cells (IC50 values of 30.54 ± 1.58 and 36.73 ± 1.19 μM, respectively), while compound 2 was effective against BGC-823 and HT-29 cells (IC50 values of 32.53 ± 1.13 and 35.16 ± 1.78 μM, respectively).
Conclusions:
- The study successfully isolated and identified two novel compounds from *Atractylodes japonica*.
- The isolated compounds possess significant cytotoxic properties against a panel of human cancer cell lines.
- These findings suggest that *Atractylodes japonica* is a promising source for the development of new anticancer drugs.
