Evaluation of Real-World Patient Engagement in a Remote Patient Monitoring for Hypertension Program

Remote patient monitoring (RPM) engagement is feasible across diverse populations and linked to better blood pressure (BP) control. Higher engagement in RPM significantly increases the odds of achieving target BP goals.

- Overall, 62.65% achieved BP control. High engagement was linked to an 83% increased likelihood of BP control (aOR=1.83).

- RPM is a feasible intervention for diverse hypertension patient populations with equitable engagement across demographic groups.
- A higher level of engagement in RPM is significantly associated with achieving blood pressure control targets.

Special considerations while measuring blood pressure
Monitoring Both Arms:
Monitoring BP in both arms during the initial assessment is advisable, as the systolic value may differ by five to ten mm Hg between arms. For subsequent BP assessments, use the arm with the higher reading.
