Development and Feasibility Testing of a Peer Support Mental Wellness Program for Corporate Employees

Objective:
The study aimed to develop and validate a Peer Support Mental Wellness Program (PSMWP) for corporate employees.
Method:
The PSMWP was developed by conducting focus group discussions with corporate employees and reviewing literature. The training covering various themes on mental health was provided to 307 human resource professionals. The training program was validated by experts.
Results:
A total of 11 themes emerged from the focus group discussions. The emergent themes were further consolidated and grouped into 7 major themes, which were used for preparing the training program.
Conclusions:
This study describes the development of a comprehensive PSMWP and the results after examining its feasibility in addressing mental health problems in the corporate sector.
