Sepsis following neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) significantly worsens outcomes. Researchers developed a Nomogram model using gestational age, age at NEC onset, C-reactive protein, ventilator support, and hypoproteinemia to predict sepsis risk in these infants.
