Background:

Glottic squamous cell carcinoma is a significant head and neck cancer.
Radiotherapy is a primary treatment modality for glottic cancer.

Purpose of the Study:

To analyze the relationship between radiotherapy dose and primary tumor response in glottic squamous cell carcinoma.
To evaluate treatment outcomes for advanced glottic tumors treated with radiotherapy.

Main Methods:

Retrospective analysis of consecutive patients treated with primary radiotherapy between 1965-1974.
Assessment of tumor response (T stage) in relation to radiation dose.

Main Results:

A dose-response relationship was observed for most glottic carcinoma stages (TIS, T1a, T1b showed exceptions).
