[Older migrants' integration : an open dynamic model]

Number of migrants stay or arrive in Switzerland after retirement. Their life courses and circumstances expose them to a heightened risk of social health inequalities during old age, resulting in poor health and limited access to healthcare. However, no study has explored their access to the Swiss healthcare system or their experience of it. In this article the need to explore this phenomenon is highlighted. In this perspective, the characteristics and living conditions of older migrants in Switzerland are presented, as well as their vulnerabilities in terms of health and healthcare. Finally, a model framing older migrants' vulnerability as the output of an integration process in which Swiss public health is called upon to address health and healthcare inequalities is proposed.
