Mouthpiece lip-pressing force and its component minimum and margin forces during French horn playing

Mouthpiece force (MPF) in French horn playing increases with higher pitch and louder dynamics. This study found that margin force, a component of MPF, is a larger percentage of total force in French horn players than previously observed in trumpet players.
