Abstract:
Amikacin is an antibiotic commonly employed in veterinary medicine primarily for treatment and prevention of certain diseases. This study describes sensitive and simple spectrofluorimetric approach for the detection of amikacin in real milk samples that adopts a one pot-synthesis of a fully conjugated, planar, and cationic diarylpyrrolone derivative, this fluorogenic reaction allows sensitive determination of amikacin in milk at an emission wavelength of 485 nm after excitation at 390 nm, for the first time. The limits of detection and quantification were 20.60 and 62.50ngmL-1, respectively over a concentration range of 80.0-400.0, with good recovery. The facile application of the proposed method paves the way for its implementation in monitoring the potential risks posed by residual antibiotics to public health and ecological integrity.

Effects of EDTA on End-Point Detection Methods
In the visual method, metal-ion indicators (metallochromic dyes), which have distinct colors in their free and complex forms, are added to the mixture to signal the titration's end point. They form stable complexes with metal ions, but these complexes are weaker than the corresponding metal–EDTA complexes. As a result, EDTA...
