Adult spinal process impingement syndrome: progression and staging

This study introduces a new staging system for adult spinal process impingement (SPI) based on long-term MRI. Osteoporosis is a key factor, and herniation of the interspinal ligament (HISL) is strongly associated with SPI progression and spinal stenosis.
