The mild encephalitis/encephalopathy with reversible splenial lesions of the corpus callosum is defined as a clinical-radiological entity that includes the presentation of encephalitis or encephalopathy associated with the presence of lesions visualized on MRI, typically described in the splenium of the corpus callosum. This entity has been associated with multiple etiologies, especially infectious ones; however, little literature discusses its association with tuberculosis. This case report describes a patient who initially presented with symptoms of mild encephalitis/encephalopathy with reversible splenial lesions of the corpus callosum, and was subsequently diagnosed with tuberculous meningitis as the underlying cause. Additionally, pathophysiology and a brief review of the subject are discussed.
