Thyroxine as a Parameter of Stress during Minimally Invasive Surgery

Minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic cholecystectomy) causes less hormonal stress than open surgery. Lowering intra-abdominal pressure during laparoscopic procedures further reduces the body's stress response.
