Removal of parasitic vibration in a self-mixing measurement for mechanical vibration based on data fitting
Abstract:
The removal of the parasitic vibration caused by the hand is one of the keys to guaranteeing the measurement accuracy of a hand-held portable self-mixing displacement sensor. In this paper, a method of removing the hand-induced parasitic vibration is presented based on data fitting, which is very simple and suitable for a hand-held self-mixing displacement sensor for the measurement of mechanical vibration. The measurement accuracy that the proposed method provides is less than 30 nm. Since the simplicity and effectiveness of the proposed method give the possibility of increasing the measurement speed and reducing the cost of the sensor while securing high measurement accuracy, the method will find great availability in the development of a hand-held self-mixing sensor.
