[Expression of CD7 in Patients with Extranodal NK/T-Cell Lymphoma and Its Clinical Significance]

Objective:
To analyze the expression of CD7 in patients with extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTL) and its clinical significance.
Methods:
Clinical data of 62 patients with ENKTL admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. Based on the expression of CD7, the patients were divided into CD7-negative group (CD7- group) and CD7-positive group (CD7+ group). The clinical characteristics and prognosis of the two groups were analyzed.
Results:
Among the 62 enrolled patients, 47 (75.81%) were CD7 positive (CD7+). The median overall survival (OS) for the entire cohort was 23 (18.2-27.8) months, and the median progression-free survival (PFS) was 16 (13.2-18.8) months. Survival analysis revealed that both the median OS and median PFS of patients in the CD7+ group were significantly shorter than those in the CD7- group (OS: 21 months vs. 28 months, P=0.008; PFS: 16 months vs. 24 months, P=0.031). Cox multivariate analysis revealed that LDH>250 U/L and CD7 positive were independent risk factors affecting OS ( P <0.05), while ECOG score >1 and CD7 positive were independent risk factors affecting PFS ( P <0.05).
Conclusion:
The positive expression rate of CD7 is relatively high in ENKTL patients. CD7 positive is an independent risk factor affecting patients' survival, and patients with CD7 positive have shorter survival periods.
