Evaluation of Success Rates of Conventional and Single-Piece Implant Systems: A Prospective Study

Background:
Dental implants have revolutionized oral rehabilitation, offering durable and functional solutions for tooth replacement. Conventional and single-piece implant systems differ in design and surgical protocol, which may impact clinical outcomes.
Aim:
This prospective study evaluates and compares the success rates of conventional and single-piece implants over a 12-month period.
Materials And Methods:
Fifty patients were randomly divided into two groups: conventional implants (Group A) and single-piece implants (Group B). Outcomes measured included implant survival, marginal bone loss, and patient satisfaction.
Results:
Both systems exhibited high survival rates (96% for conventional and 92% for single-piece implants). Marginal bone loss was slightly higher in single-piece implants, while patient satisfaction was higher during the initial healing phase.
Conclusion:
Both implant systems are effective for dental rehabilitation, with no significant difference in long-term success. The choice should be tailored to individual patient needs.
