Summary
Direct-suture closure effectively treats patent foramen ovale (PFO) with atrial septal aneurysm (ASA). This technique not only closes the PFO but also reduces the size of the aneurysm.
Area of Science:
- Cardiology
- Interventional Cardiology
- Cardiac Surgery
Background:
- Patent foramen ovale (PFO) and atrial septal aneurysm (ASA) can present complex closure challenges.
- Direct-suture closure is an alternative for PFO and ASA management.
